President and CEO of Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) Steve Takacs has announced his plans to retire with a view to exiting the business effective 1st July 2026.
With a career spanning over forty years, commencing initially as a service technician at Crown Lift Trucks before moving into a sales management role, Takacs joined TMHA in 2008 as General Manager Sales & Marketing, before being promoted to Director of Operations followed by Executive Vice President and COO.
In 2020 Takacs was promoted to President and CEO a position he has held since, and will continue in this role until he steps down on 1st July 2026.
“I wish to thank everyone at TMHA for the support and loyalty they have shown me for almost 20 years” Takacs said.
“I have made many wonderful friends in the forklift and material handling industry, and am proud of what I have achieved.”
